EM Mud Balls provide a good microbial diversity in pond water promoting sludge-eating microbial activity, leaving you with a naturally clean and bright pond.

The Effective Micro-organisms fermented mud balls are a combination of Edasil clay minerals, Bokashi, Actiferm, EM ceramic powder, and reed sugar molasses.

After throwing the Mud Balls into the pond, they sink to the bottom where they slowly dissolve. The mud balls act on different parts of your pond, but mainly on the bottom. This is how we see a reduction in soil sediment. This process significantly improves water quality. Moreover, a good microbial flora can develop in the pond which greatly promotes the vitality and health of the fish.

Dosage

  • Divide 1 EM Mud Ball per 1m² bottom surface. Applicable in spring to autumn.
  • 1 single mud ball will initially treat 1000 litres of water
  • Add 1 ball per square metre of surface area every 6 months to maintain clarity

Ingredients

  • EM Mud Balls are made from soil, clay, bokashi, and EM-1.
  • The Effective Micro-organisms fermented mud balls are a combination of Edasil clay minerals, Agriton Bokashi Bran, Actiferm, EM ceramic powder.
The package contains one EM Mud Ball.
The balls are used to improve the water quality and the environment at the bottom of ponds, rivers, lakes and seas. Everywhere there are concentrated deposits of sludge (rotten organic matter) and toxins. Actiferm improves water quality by increasing the micro-life and nutrition in the water in a natural way. Actiferm helps to neutralize the effect of chemicals such as ammonia and nitrates and provides an improved microbial balance. The effective microorganisms slowly leak out of the clay ball at the bottom where the lactic acid bacteria ferment and break down dead organic material and residues of organic pesticides. The yeasts stimulate the growth of microbes and the photosynthetic bacteria counteract eutrophication and help to oxygenate the water.
